Transitions

A set of cutlery that develops the motor skills of a handicapped hand, step by step. Through steps, the function of the cutlery and the way of holding them grow together in parallel, and a step-by-step progress is generated (from the main muscles of the hand to the tips of the fingers). The project has been developed with a physiotherapist and a disabled child with the idea that : « Just as we can become handicapped, we could also become un-handicapped… »
Being handicapped isn’t synonymous with remaining handicapped, and progress is always possible. Additionally, at every step of the process, my cutlery aims to make people confident and comfortable with improving their current condition.
